Tauranga Urban Design Panel
Independent Contractor, 2021 - 2024
In 2021, Tauranga City Council engaged me to research the establishment of an urban design panel and methods to elevate urban design in Tauranga. I conducted targeted discussions with Councils and design professionals to identify hurdles and opportunities, leading to a recommendations report and the adoption of an Urban Design Framework in early 2022. Throughout 2022, I facilitated the panel's setup, preparing key documents, contributing to a marketing strategy, and co-leading panelist induction and training. The panel launched in April 2023 with 15 members, later expanding to 22, and I supported its operations until late 2024 through oversight, inductions, chair training, and annual reviews.
